Well it was an extremely interesting and very exciting night at the Hufnagel house!  We were doing the usual thing; playing with the girls, laughing, giggling…you know the usual things that you do on Friday nights when you realize that having children put a big damper on your social life, I mean what use to be our social life.  Anyway, not that I am complaining and especially not this particular Friday because something happened.  So without ruining it, you have to watch it.  It is just to hard to explain, so don’t delay and click play! 

And I do expect to see some comments from the audience on this one!!

Looking through the window

Looking through the window

Happy March everyone.  Spring is just around the corner (hopefully)!  This past week has been a pretty good one for the girls.  Still working on teeth.  Bella has the four, but she must be working on some more because for the past three nights she has woke up crying.  I let her cry for a little while, but the only thing that made her happy was a bottle, a dose of Tylenol and some love from mommy.  Last night she was just sitting in the crib with her stuffed bunny shoved into her mouth to muffle the cry…sad, but kinda funny at the same time.    Little Norah still sleeps through the entire night without a peep.

Bella finally pulled up for the first time the other morning.  She has only done it in the crib and so far only a couple of times.  Norah is working on cruising the furniture, but she hasn’t figured out how to go from the couch to the love seat without falling down.  Also, I really believe that Norah is saying the word “up.”  She will be in the crib wanting to be picked up and she will go, “up, up, up.”  She will still look up towards the ceiling and point and say it also.  Bella has started waving “bye-bye.”  She does it with her hand facing herself, but she gets the idea.  Our little girls are getting so big!

Sorry it has been so long since we’ve posted anything new.  The croup from the last post ended up in bronchitis for Bella

Rub-a-dub-dub

and Norah was following fast in her footsteps.  I ended up calling Dr. Butler’s office that Friday and he put them on Azithromycin.  The girls are feeling much better now.  Thank goodness because between ear infections and bronchitis it was a rough month for them.

Both girls are in the process of cutting more teeth.  Bella is definitely getting ready to cut some teeth on top.  I think Norah is working on a top tooth, but it is not as obvious as Bella’s.  Both are super slobbery!  Norah is pulling up on everything like crazy.  Bella pulls up on Aaron, but she hasn’t done it on the furniture yet.

Aaron had a crazy week at work getting the email system at both schools switched over.  I had a couple of nights alone with the girls and there was one morning where I had to do everything with them.  Thankfully everything should be back to normal this week.

This weekend my mom came up on Friday and stayed with us.  She watched the girls last night and Aaron and I managed to go do some shopping.  We found some great sales and bought the girls some clothes for next year and nothing was over $2.99 (and it was at the Children’s Place)!  Aaron got a really nice peacoat for $40 at Wilson’s.  It was a lot of fun!  Today, Aaron’s parents and grandmother came up to spend some time with the girls.  Jon was nice enough to make his special Swiss steak for us to enjoy for dinner.  So, it was a busy weekend, but we had a really good time.

Thinking about it

Poor babies now have croup.  Bella started to get sick yesterday afternoon and now has the “seal bark” cough.  Norah is now starting to get the cough too!  We have been running the humidifier on high the past couple nights and steamed up the bathroom to help the girls out.  Both girls seem to be taking it pretty well though, more cranky that usual, but it is still much better than the double ear infections were.  Still crawling all over the place and little eating machines.  Tonight I gave them some of the biter biscuits and they made such a mess!  They had biscuit goop all over their faces, their hands, their clothes and the booster tray.

Another first was that Norah pulled up to a stand for the first time

tonight.  I had finished giving her a bath, put her in her jammies and laid her in the crib.  I went down to get Bella from Aaron and

Here comes Bella!

Norah was standing in the crib smiling at me.  I called Aaron up to show him, but she was back down before he got there.  I went ahead and bathed Bella.  Norah did a repeat performance for him though before I laid Bella down.  The crazy thing is that Aaron had lowered the crib mattress down just this evening because we knew she was getting close to pulling up.

Bella is getting really good at cross-crawling too.  Pretty soon we will be able to have a fair baby race without having to hold Norah back to give Bella a head start.  Bella has also cut her second tooth this past week, so now they have two teeth each!  You can see the link for each girl’s milestones below:
