Japanese Snakehouse

20121014-110015.jpgThe other night we took the girls out to eat. We were giving the girls options as to where we could eat. Bella chimed in that she wanted to eat at the “Japanese Snakehouse.” Norah who is usually one to say the opposite of what Bella said, agreed this time that the Snakehouse was a good choice! It was so cute, so funny that we had to take them. We also thought the girls would enjoy the experience that comes from eating at a Japanese Steakhouse.

Both girls were very busy watching all the cooking and flames from the other tables. Both girls tried miso with Norah loving it (even talking about it then next morning) while Bella did not. The girls both had salads which they seemed to enjoy–of course I think it was the ranch dressing–if it has ranch they will eat it!! Finally the chef came out and began to prepare our food. The girls where both very inquisitive asking questions nonstop.

They liked the flames and the volcano they chef made. They loved watching him cut and dice while moving the food around. Norah was even brave enough to try and catch some food in her mouth although she doesn’t quite have the idea down.

Bella had shrimp hibachi kids meal while Norah chose to have chicken. Bella really likes shrimp but both her and Norah did not eat as much as we thought they would. Perhaps it was the miso and salad or just the fact that there was so much going on–too much visual stimulation for them to focus on eating.

All in all it was a great time and fabulous to be able to take part in a new experiences with Bella and Norah. And eating at a “Snakehouse” wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.
